Two and a half years later, the GSFE Admins are all together at the ITEC Conference in Ds Moines, IA and had the chance to record a podcast.  Friend of the show, Kate Petty of Apps Events was able to join us as we discussed chromebooks for educators.  These aren't your student devices, these are designed with teachers in mind.   Thanks for the listen

School's back and this year brings all the usual issues and some new ones thanks to COVID-19. The admins will discuss what has changed with G Suite (aside from the name), what has worked, and what has failed. These are interesting times and they do not look to be getting any less interesting.

Summer is almost over and that means back to school. As we enter enter the final countdown, the Admins talk about what's new, what's old, and what they think should change. And then of course, they will go completely off topic and talk about some random item that comes up in conversation. Well we are up to our old shenanigans. There are some changes to the admin console and there are some updates to Google. Join us as we discuss what's new and what's different. We discuss what education will look like in the fall and what our roles will be.

The GSFE Admins discuss our new reality. COVID-19 has closed the majority of schools in the United States and that drastically changes the average day of a GSFE Admin, and most likely our role in the district. Schools are looking very quickly at distant learning and tools that can be used. We will discuss all of this and more. Hard to believe we have found enough stuff to talk about to make 31 episodes. But then again, we are not ones to shy away from talking. We discuss what's new in the Google for Education world and in our lives.

Summer has come and gone, and that means changes for admins. We talk about Brand Accounts and the New Admin Console. Plus we make fun of Karl. Fun Fact: Karl was actually at the same resort as the conference, but he wanted to make a surprise entrance that evening, so he hid from us and made us Zoom him into the event. What a jerk!
